Changes in the State Subsidy for Families!

Changes for CCC Subsidy Families
Christian Child Care has had to make some very tough choices for the center this week. Parents, who recieve CCAP subsidy, will have to make full payments till we get payments from the state restored. When the state money comes in it will be refunded directly to the parents. Because of this situation, the two week withdrawl notice has been suspended for our subsidy parents. We know some families will have to withdrawl and it breaks our hearts.

To help the center we will be doing fundraisers and will be looking for new donners. Would like to help, we need all we can get! The center has already covered all of Aprils subsidy payments and half of May. It is a shame the state has put all childcare in this situation.

Contact your representatives and tell them how you personally feel! We need everyone to speak up!

Here are local repesentatives that need to hear your voice. Please call them and let them know how important our children and quality care are and please pray for them as they make decisions that affect all of us.

Spaghetti Dinner
Thursday, April 26th Drive by Spaghetti Dinner was a great success!. We sold out completely! The money from this fundraiser is going to building improvements. We hope to complete several large projects this year and will be doing other FUN-Fundraisers to get the money to complete them.

Why is CCC Fundraising
We have some great Projects coming up! This year we are building to the future! We are looking for ways to add a new validation tool in our classrooms, building a new 2-year-old playground, and replacing flooring and lighting in the center. All of these changes require money. To earn it we want it to be fun. We know that not every family will participate in every activity, but if you pick one or two to help with we will meet all our goals to build on the future.

PARENT SURVEYS
May 1st Parent Surveys are going out.
Christian Child Care wants to know what you are thinking and how we can be better at serving your children. Make sure to fill out the parent survey! Each person makes a counts and needs to be heard!

_Christian Child Care has earned THREE STARS
WHAT DOES THREE STARS MEAN!
The National Association of Child Care Professionals required us to document our business pratices and our teachers were observed and evaluated on teaching pratices. We demonstrated we provide a high quality of care and were awarded Accrediation. This honor is hard work and our staff, volunteers, board and administarion all have worked for the last three years to make this dream a real! Now does that mean we take a vacation from quality... NO WAY! We have begun work to apply for our FOURTH QUALITY STAR next year. Only two daycares in the state have earned this honor.... we want to be the third! Thank you for your support, we do this to provide your children with the best care possible! That is our why we do what we do.... the kids!

United Way helps Christian Child Care
The Logan County Unted way has partnered with CCC to provide scholarships to families in need for tuition. We have helped many families through a tough patch to keep their children in care. We salute the United Way's work with our community they help so many.

CCC is looking for people that like to garden and build.
On our Sunny playground we want to put a flower and food garden for the children and community. We also want to build some benches and other natural outdoor playground equiptment. We have started some projects and will be adding more each season! If you would like to help please contact us at 732-5750 or e-mail us!
